My sculpture is about the sensual beauty of the natural world. My work is drawn from the innate ability and intrinsic attraction of suggestive biology. I’m very interested in exploring the undermined appeal we have toward sinuous sensual shapes, these shapes and textures are inspired from anything from the female figure to curvaceous movement of vertebra, to the allure of botany.

All the sculptures I create are inherently organic and seek to delve into the primal allure of sensuous shapes whose innate seductiveness that seem to unite us all on a fundamental level. Although my sculptures are ultimately executed in bronze, ceramic or resin, my process generally begins with clay, its raw, fluid and natural ability to receive infinite texture and shape is remarkable – the materials themselves often seem to direct what will emerge.

I’m currently revisiting the concept of “velocity” in my work, focusing on textures and shapes that might have emerged from the churning seas or traveled to earth from the farthest reaches of the celestial skies

I am a full time artist living in New York City, where I also teach and study.
